Michael holds a Masters in Professional Counseling, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Trauma, Abuse and Deprivation. Mike's undergraduate degree is in engineering. Prior to founding NorthPointeCounselingCenter, Mike worked as a therapist at the CalvaryAddictionRecoveryCenter, a faith-based residential treatment center for substance abuse and problem gambling. He also has 28 years' experience associated with corporate team building, business management, and training. He specializes with adults recovering from traumatic life events, abusive relationships, anxiety and depression, and addictive behaviors. Mike is trained in EMDR and provides insight-oriented, directive therapy.
